Relief after tonsilectomey?

hi, i had my tonsills out 2 weeks ago.. i went to the dr today for the check up and he said it was healing normally. Just wondering if any one had theirs out and how long they felt crappy for?? i have terrible ear pain and my throat is still very sore..this was a very miserable operation and im all out of pain meds.. any suggestions or info?
