How do you re-activate XM radio in a used vehicle recently purchased?

three good answers so far, all forgot to tell you that you have to BUY a subscription from XM radio when you call. It is not free and would not likely be free in a used car, although some new cars have a test period free. I know several people who did not activate the paid for service after listening for a while.
