I need help on Medical College preparation?

I'm only 13 but I need to start preparing for this stuff. How can I know I am ready for this stuff? Do I make folders for research about medical things? And what is the process of getting into Med school? Some people say go straight to med school and some say spend 4 years in college, and then 4 years in med school? I'm not sure about any of this? So how can I be prepared? What do you need to do in medical school one you get in to it? Write reports, probably, but what else would you have to do? Thanks guys.
