What kind of strings should I get for my bass?

I have a Dean Zone XM Bass Guitar and I think it's time to change the strings. This is my first bass and I don't know a thing about strings! Haha, I'm not too sure if the type of strings I get affect the sound but I like the grungy, deep bass sound. It would help so much if you could help me and recommend some strings! Thanks.
